My name is Mary. I'm from Bakersfield and currently in the Navy DEP and hold a contract for the Nuclear Propulsion Program.
This blog is just a hodge podge of the things I love: science, miscellaneous art and photography, crafts, lulz and general badassery. Occasionally I post snippets from my own life.
Testing some new shit. Lots of pictures of little things. Including me. I am a little thing as well.
I found some pictures from PT October 13 of last year (2010). It’s pretty weird looking at them, since most of the then-poolees in the pictures are now Marines, including my boyfriend.
In these pictures there are two who backed out, two who never intended to join but were present as guests (one is a Marine girlfriend, the other a wife), and a few who are still in the program waiting to go to boot camp, but most have since become Marines.
Volkslauf was Saturday and we had four Recruiting Sub-Stations under Recruiting Station Los Angeles: Burbank, Ventura, Bakersfield East and Bakersfield West and all did extremely well. Here’s a few photos I took that day.
I never uploaded photos from my boyfriend’s graduation from boot camp. Thought I’d share some from Family Day, March 3, 2011.
It was a pretty big day. Not only was this the first time I’d seen Sal since he left on December 6, 2010, but it was also the day of our two-year anniversary. Best anniversary present ever.
